Greetings from LT

Howdy folks!!
Welcome to The Skellingtons blog-o-matic
From time to time, us Skellies will muse, rant and rave, articulate and otherwise stretch the limits of our verbosity. You'll discover that this band can be fairly opinionated, with yours truly sometimes being the most loud-mouthed, cantankerous cuss you've ever met. ( I do have a gentle streak sometimes, and I mostly save it for the band, small animals and children)
The band is most patient with me however, and are usually quite happy to indulge me in my flights of whimsy.(at least they smile patiently when I'm bloviating...is that how you spell it? my spelling is terrible these days, where the heck is my spell-check...where am I??) Out of all the people I've known in my life, I love these people the most. They are MORE than family. They always listen to my ideas, and no matter how ridiculous, they'll usually go along with it. They keep me going.
There are times when I have so many ideas going in my head that its impossible to keep track of them, or get them into a semblense of order....and as hard as these ideas can be to articulate, the band seems to always find a way to turn the intangible into real, actual MUSIC!!
They give form to the thousands of channels of noise that my brain contends with and help me figure out what to do with it.....how to turn nonsense into linear thought. What an amazing thing to do for another person, for practically zero monetary compensation!!
(therapists make $$$$ per hour, my band does it for a hobby!!)
Anyway, enough of this love-fest, as time goes on, I'll post more about each member and hopefully, they'll post their own thoughts as well....and you, gentle readers can respond with your own opinions. Maybe we'll even read them :)
I'll also be telling you the history of The Skellingtons, while I can still remember some of it....I may have to enlist the help of former band-mates to help jog my memory. But, as we go on, you'll learn the story behind one of the strangest, and beautifully delusioned bands ever.....
A band who's only real ambition has been to make the music we want to hear, play it for people who want to hear it. It's never been about making $$$, only to prove that writing, recording, performing (on our own terms) can be a lifestyle choice, as opposed to a career!!
Anyway, to quote Mr. Dylan...."stick with me baby, stick with me anyhow, things should start to get interesting right about now.."
Who loves ya, baby?
